AI Collaboration Framework Faculty Guide

I design learning activities that encourage students to use artificial intelligence as a collaborative learning partner. These activities invite learners to explore concepts, generate ideas, and refine their understanding through guided interaction with AI tools.

Rather than prohibiting AI use, I focus on helping students develop ethical, critical, and reflective skills for using AI responsibly. Each activity is structured as an authentic assessment, where students apply course concepts to real-world problems in partnership with AI—an approach that builds digital literacy, creativity, and deeper conceptual understanding.

Through this process, students learn with AI rather than from it, developing the ability to question, evaluate, and integrate technology in meaningful ways that mirror modern professional practice.

I use the AI Collaboration Framework to help ensure students use AI ethically and with purposeful intent. I have attached the Faculty Guide I share with colleagues.
